Facilities and Rooms at the Lewes Subud Centre

The Lewes Subud Centre provides versatile spaces for hire, perfect for events, classes,  gatherings, workshops, wakes and more. Whether you’re hosting a large celebration, creative workshop, or small meeting, our facilities are designed to inspire connection, creativity, and community.

Our Spaces Include:
  • Two Spacious Halls: Main Hall and Assembly Hall (Which can expand into Middle Hall) Ideal for large events like concerts, rehearsals, yoga, dance and conferences (capacity: 100–250).
  • One Medium-Sized Room: Perfect for group meetings or classes (10-40).
  • Smaller Rooms: Great for therapy sessions, art classes, or intimate activities.
  • Professional Kitchen: Fully equipped for catering needs.

Cost: 
We have a sliding scale of rates from; Corporate (VAT registered businesses), standard (local and non VAT registered businesses), special discounted rates (Charities, Not for profit, Local Pells residents, Subud members and weekday rates also available). 

For social events a surcharge applies on top of the hourly rate, based on the type and size of function, ranging between £30 - £225. 

Our automated booking system will give you the best rate available for your size of function and facility. 

Additional Amenities Available for Hire: Flip charts, folding tables, projector and screen, piano, tea and coffee-making facilities, and high-speed WiFi.

Capacity: 250 people (min 150)
Pricing: £19.60-£34.00 per hour

Located in the south building, this large ground floor hall is a magnificent, well proportioned ground floor space. It is flooded with natural light from the high reaching windows on both north and west facing walls.

The room is 9.1m x 6.7m (128m²)

Book Assembly Hall + Middle Hall

Assembly Hall + Middle Hall

Capacity: 150 people (min 100)
Pricing: £19.60-£34.00 per hour

Located in the north building, this light and airy ground floor room has excellent acoustics, wooden floorboards and a carpet covering approximately half of the space, which can be rolled up if all wooden flooring is required. This hall is a lovely space with a special feeling, and is a favourite of Yoga teachers!

The room is 12.8m x 5.9m (75.5m²) - extendable to 21.7m x 5.9m (128.03m²)

Middle hall

Capacity: 40 people (min 20)
Pricing: £12.50-£23.20 per hour

The Middle Hall (a room sectioned off area of the Assembly Hall in the south building) holds up to 30 people sitting or approx. 10-15 people in a Yoga or Tai Chi Class for example. 

This ground floor room has excellent acoustics, and a carpet covering approximately three quarters of the space, which can be rolled up if required. The hall is well lit with a built in sink. This hall is a favourite for smaller groups.

The room is 8.9m x 5.8m (52 Msq)

Pricing: £10.50-£18.00 per hour

The Den located at the end of the north building, is an ideal room to hire in Lewes for small meetings group therapy or one to ones. With good-sized comfortable chairs, a sofa and tables and business fibre broadband connectivity (wired and wireless), the room can easily accommodate up to fourteen people.

The room is 6.0m x 4.4m (26.5m²)
